Masterclock 5-year warranty via Daylight bv

All Masterclock products delivered by Daylight bv come standard with a 5letá omezená záruka on parts and labor. Here are the details, the exceptions, and how it works in practice.

What the warranty covers

  • Vady materiálu ve všech komponentech (základní deska, napájecí zdroj, displej, oscilátorová buňka)
  • Manufacturing defects when used in accordance with the datasheet and manual
  • Repair or replacement within the warranty period
  • Service via Daylight bv, a direct line with Daylight bv, no escalation through Masterclock USA

What is not covered

  • Damage from incorrect use (wrong voltage, no grounding, moisture, fyzické poškození)
  • Lightning damage without a gas-discharge arrestor in the antenna installation
  • Hardware modifications by third parties
  • Consumable parts (rubber feet, RTC battery after 7 years)
  • Transport damage (covered by the carrier's insurance)

Carry-in versus SLA

The standard is carry-in: you ship the defective unit to Daylight, and we ship it on to Masterclock USA (or repair it on-site where possible).

For customers with SLA requirements we offer a service contract under which Daylight delivers a replacement unit within 24-48 hours while the repair is in progress. Discuss this before ordering, it is separate from the standard warranty.

RMA procedure

  1. Call or email Daylight support with the serial number and symptoms
  2. We perform a remote troubleshoot, often a config issue or firmware problem that needs no shipment
  3. For hardware replacement: RMA number and shipping instructions
  4. Repair or replacement, average turn-around 2-4 weeks
  5. Unit returned to you with certificate of conformance

After the warranty period

We offer paid repairs via Daylight. Masterclock products typically last 10-15 years. GNSS antennas age faster (UV exposure on the roof), Rubidium cells last 10-15 years.
