Multipath

Multipath arises when a GNSS signal reaches the antenna not only directly but also via reflections off buildings, water or the roof. The delayed echoes distort the measurement of distance and time.

A well-placed antenna with a clear sky view and a ground plane (choke ring) greatly reduces multipath.
