The NTP100-TC converts existing timecode infrastructure (IRIG-B, SMPTE 12M, EBU) into NTP. A typical application is a broadcast or military installation where IRIG-B is already distributed over coax and where additional IT systems need NTP without adding a separate GNSS antenna. A single NTP100-TC accepts the IRIG input and serves NTP to your network clients with the same Stratum 1 traceability as your existing time source. Compact 1U form factor, straightforward installation.

Frequently asked questions
Which timecode formats can the NTP100-TC read?
IRIG-B (modulated and unmodulated DC-level shift), SMPTE 12M and EBU, with automatic detection. Frame rates 24/25/30 fps non-drop frame and 29.97 drop frame for SMPTE. For IEEE 1344 extension (year, DST, time zone in IRIG), consult the datasheet for specific support.
When should I choose the NTP100-TC instead of the NTP100-GNSS?
When you already have a central timecode source (for example an existing IRIG-B rail in a broadcast facility or military site) and the NTP server does not need its own GNSS antenna. The NTP100-TC then takes your existing time source and distributes it to NTP clients.
Is a DA12 required to share the IRIG input?
When multiple devices need to receive the same IRIG signal, a DA12 or TCA100 distribution amplifier is recommended to avoid signal loss and reflections caused by T-taps. One IRIG source, one DA12, multiple receivers via 50 Ω or 75 Ω coax with proper termination.
