Masterclock Time Code Distribution Amplifiers
TCA100
TCA100 - Time Code Distribution Amplifier
The TCA100 is a timecode amplifier and distribution amplifier specifically for SMPTE, EBU and IRIG-B timecodes. Transformer-isolated outputs for superior isolation between receivers, BNC I/O connectors for fast cabling. For broadcast and film studios that need to distribute their central SMPTE source across an entire facility without cumulative signal loss. A typical alternative to the DA12 for pure timecode distribution.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the DA12 and the TCA100?
Both distribute timecode. The TCA100 is specifically specified for SMPTE and EBU/IRIG-B with a focus on broadcast environments and transformer isolation. The DA12 is somewhat broader in scope as a generic distribution amplifier. For pure broadcast installations choose the TCA100; for multi-purpose timecode distribution the DA12 is sufficient.
How many outputs does the TCA100 have?
For exact output counts, isolation and level specs, consult the datasheet. Typically 6-10 BNC outputs with transformer isolation.
Should I use 50 Ω or 75 Ω?
For SMPTE broadcast, 75 Ω. For IRIG-B, 50 Ω. The TCA100 outputs are configured for the most common impedances; consult the datasheet for your exact application.
