TCA100 SMPTE Timecode Distribution Amplifier
The TCA100 is a dual-channel time code distribution amplifier for SMPTE, EBU and IRIG.
Two separate output channels, each with its own level control on the front panel, available on BNC and on the DB-9 connector. Jumpers inside the case select a transformer-isolated differential, single-ended grounded or balanced isolated output. For studio and broadcast installations where connected equipment sits at different ground potentials.

What is the difference between the DA12 and the TCA100?
Both distribute time code, but they are built differently. The TCA100 has two output channels, a high-impedance bridging input of more than 100 kΩ and a 600 Ω output, and its outputs can be transformer isolated. The DA12 has twelve buffered outputs on 50 Ω BNC and no transformer isolation. Choose the TCA100 for a studio where two feeds have to be galvanically separated; choose the DA12 when one source has to reach many receivers.
How many outputs does the TCA100 have?
Two. It is a dual-channel amplifier: channel 1 and channel 2, each on its own BNC and on separate pins of the DB-9 connector, with the level of each channel adjustable from the front panel.
What impedance does the TCA100 use?
The TCA100 does not work with 50 Ω or 75 Ω. Its input is a balanced bridging input of more than 100 kΩ, isolated from chassis ground, and the output impedance is 600 Ω. The output level is adjustable from 1 to 14 V p-p into a 600 Ω load. Tell us which source you are feeding it from and we will confirm the setting.
