Protocols and time transfer
White Rabbit
White Rabbit is an open technology, developed at CERN, that combines PTP with Synchronous Ethernet and phase measurement over optical fibre to achieve synchronisation down to the sub-nanosecond. It is used in particle accelerators, telescopes and measurement networks.
White Rabbit is included in the PTP standard (IEEE 1588-2019) as a high-accuracy profile.
