Jamming

Jamming is broadcasting interference that overpowers the extremely weak GNSS signals so a receiver can no longer lock. It occurs around airports, conflict zones and from cheap illegal jammers.

Protection consists of multi-GNSS, directional antennas and above all a good holdover oscillator that bridges the time during loss of signal.
