The TCDS86 is a timecode-driven digital clock display with 18 cm tall LED digits in a 6-digit configuration. Synchronises to IRIG-B, SMPTE 12M or 309M timecode (24/25/30 fps non-drop frame), with automatic detection of the source protocol. For broadcast studios, military installations and post-production environments where timecode is already distributed over coax and displays must synchronise to that source. Suitable for very large broadcast studios and command centres where HH:MM:SS timecode must be readable over tens of metres. Battery-backed RTC maintains time during signal loss.

Frequently asked questions

Difference between TCDS84 and TCDS86?

Both use 18 cm digits. TCDS84 = 4 digits (HH:MM), TCDS86 = 6 digits (HH:MM:SS). For seconds visibility at distance choose the TCDS86.

Is this the TCDS version of the NTDS86?

Yes. Same physical dimensions and visibility characteristics, different time source. NTDS86 = NTP over network; TCDS86 = SMPTE or IRIG-B timecode via BNC.

How large is the enclosure?

Considerable, due to the 18 cm digits and 6 digits. For exact dimensions and weight, consult the datasheet; this is relevant for structural wall or ceiling mounting.
