TCDS49 - Time Code Driven Clock
The TCDS49 is a timecode-driven digital clock display with 10.2 cm tall LED digits in a 9-digit configuration. Synchronises to IRIG-B, SMPTE 12M or 309M timecode (24/25/30 fps non-drop frame), with automatic detection of the source protocol. For broadcast studios, military installations and post-production environments where timecode is already distributed over coax and displays must synchronise to that source. Suitable for large broadcast control rooms that want to show timecode plus year or day indicator at distance. Battery-backed RTC maintains time during signal loss. Available in red and blue.

Why limited to red and blue?
Similar reasoning to the NTDS49: specialised 9-digit large format with a smaller production run. Red (classic broadcast) and blue (modern) are the two available options.
What is a typical 9-digit format?
HH:MM:SS:FF (8 digits) with an extra day indicator, or HH:MM:SS plus DDD (day of year). Both are common in broadcast automation contexts.
Does this work with SMPTE 309M?
Yes. SMPTE 12M and 309M are both supported, plus IRIG-B. Automatic detection of the incoming timecode protocol.
