TCDS29 - Time Code Driven Clock
The TCDS29 is a timecode-driven digital clock display with 4.6 cm tall LED digits in a 9-digit configuration. Synchronises to IRIG-B, SMPTE 12M or 309M timecode (24/25/30 fps non-drop frame), with automatic detection of the source protocol. For broadcast studios, military installations and post-production environments where timecode is already distributed over coax and displays must synchronise to that source. Suitable for control rooms and command centres that want to show timecode plus day indicator at a medium size. Battery-backed RTC maintains time during signal loss. Available only in red.

What is a typical 9-digit format?
HH:MM:SS plus DDD (day of year) is a widely used SMPTE/military broadcast format. With 9 digits it is directly readable without alternation.
Viewing distance?
4.6 cm digits are typically readable up to ~12-15 metres under normal indoor lighting. For larger control rooms choose the TCDS49 (10.2 cm 9-digit).
