GMR6000 PTP Grandmaster AND Time Server
The GMR6000 is Masterclock's latest PTP and NTP grandmaster, engineered for digital substations and data centres that require nanosecond accuracy and extended holdover.
The unit combines FAST disciplining, low phase noise oscillators and multi-GNSS reception (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS) with hardware-redundant power and 4×1 GbE plus 2×SFP+ 10 GbE ports. Designed for IEC 61850-9-3 Power Profile and IEEE C37.238 compliance, with an optional Rubidium oscillator for multi-day holdover when GNSS is unavailable. Modular by design, so you only pay for the features you actually need.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the GMR6000 and the GMR5000?
The GMR6000 is the successor with explicit IEEE 1588-2019 support, IEC 61850-9-3 Power Profile, multi-GNSS constellations and 10 GbE SFP+ ports. The GMR5000 remains available for broadcast applications with Black Burst, TLS and Word Clock outputs. For substation and data centre PTP the GMR6000 is the right choice; for broadcast sync the GMR5000 is preferred.
Which oscillator options are available for extended holdover?
The GMR6000 ships standard with an OCXO. For applications that require multi-day holdover on loss of GNSS signal, a Rubidium oscillator (HSO Rubidium) can be ordered. Request a quote with your required holdover specification and we will configure the right combination.
Which antenna is required and how long can the cable run be?
The Masterclock GNSS outdoor antenna is included as standard. For the exact maximum permitted cable length we refer to Masterclock's antenna options guide; this depends on the chosen cable and any inline amplifiers. Consult Daylight bv before ordering if you need cable lengths beyond the standard kit.
What is the lead time for this product?
