DA12 Signal Distribution Amplifier

The DA12 is a dual-channel distribution amplifier for timecode signals (IRIG-B, SMPTE, EBU).

Masterclock DA12 distribution amplifier with 12 outputs

A single timecode input is amplified and distributed to multiple receivers via separate transformer-isolated outputs. For installations where one central timecode source must feed multiple displays or devices without signal loss or reflections from T-taps. Standard 1U rack mount, AC power.

Frequently asked questions

How many outputs does the DA12 have?

Two channels with multiple outputs per channel for distribution of two different sources, or one source doubled across two send paths. Exact output counts and isolation specs in the datasheet.

What is the advantage of a DA12 over T-taps?

Transformer isolation between outputs prevents ground-loop issues and cross-talk. T-taps cause impedance mismatch and signal loss. For installations with more than 2-3 receivers a DA12 (or TCA100) is essential.

Which impedance do the outputs use?

BNC at 50 Ω or 75 Ω, depending on your infrastructure. For SMPTE broadcast, typically 75 Ω; for IRIG-B, 50 Ω. Consult the datasheet for the exact specs of your model.

What is the lead time for this product?

Standard lead time is 8-10 weeks from Masterclock USA. Daylight bv stocks the most common references in Ghent. Contact us for current availability and any rush options.

What warranty do you get on this product?

1 year Daylight warranty + 4 years extra Masterclock warranty on parts and labour (5 years total), via Daylight bv as authorised Masterclock distributor. Carry-in for customers in the EEA, on-site available by prior arrangement. See five-year warranty.
