RC1000 - Dual-Channel Production Timer
The RC1000 is the dual-channel production timer for broadcast and event control rooms. Two independent timer channels, each counting up or down independently, presented in HH:MM:SS or MM:SS:FF format. Output via SMPTE and EBU timecode (30/25/24 fps ndf, 29.97 df) or network packets, so a single RC1000 drives both a large countdown display and the control-room monitor. With dual-channel operation, segment and total time can be displayed in parallel, a typical requirement for live production and sporting events.

What is the difference between the RC1000 and the RC600?
The RC600 is a single-channel count controller for displays. The RC1000 is a dual-channel production timer with SMPTE output, in HH:MM:SS and MM:SS:FF format simultaneously. For a single straightforward countdown display the RC600 is sufficient; for broadcast control rooms with segment and total timers at the same time the RC1000 is the right choice.
Which displays work with the RC1000?
All Masterclock TCDS and NTDS displays accept the RC1000 as source via SMPTE timecode or network packets, depending on the display model. For best results, combine TCDS displays with SMPTE and NTDS displays with the network count mode.
Can the RC1000 be operated remotely?
Yes. Control is possible via the front-panel buttons, via network (TCP/IP commands) and optionally via GPIO contacts for external start/stop/reset switches at a control desk.
