IRIG-B is a time code standard (Inter-Range Instrumentation Group) that broadcasts a frame with the time-of-day every second. It exists in an unmodulated form (DC level shift) and a modulated form (on a 1 kHz carrier).

It is used to provide measurement equipment, recording systems and substations with a common time.
